Being in Kuala Lumpur now, I was wondering when the Chinese New Year 2019 is and how it was marked. And I found out it is the year of pig. Of course, I had to google for the meaning of it. And it is very interesting to dive into a different culture and history. That is what makes traveling exciting for me. Beside the ability to find all informations in the WorldWideWeb, I get the chance to witness the celebrations with local people.
The Pig is one of the 12 Chinese Zodiacs. In Particular, it ist the 12th of all zodiac animals. According to Lunar Calendar the Chinese New Year 2019 (Lunar New Year) is celebrated in the night of February 4 (dinner time). February 5 is for prayers
I will be strolling around Chinatown but the real experience will be for sure within the families. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to share my photos and experiences with you. So switch also to my following posts.
